Using the Forum Why use a forum to offer technical support? If the help sections and video instructions we have within the program do not solve any issue you we have, then we supplement this via the forum, as opposed to one-on-one emails or phone calls. Using a forum: - Allows you to find answers given to problems other people have had at all hours of the day or night without having to wait for a reply
- Saves our support crew from having to answer the same questions repeatedly
- The forum has both a category format for general browsing of topics as well as a search feature for when you are looking for solutions to a specific problem.
- A forum creates more of a community feeling between you and all our other subscribers where you can all support and assist one another by sharing advice, answers, tips, tricks and generally anything else you want with one another
- Phone support is costly which would mean you would need to pay more.... and prevents tracking all your support history so all of us can keep up to speed with issues when one person is away or similar, and you too can always look back at what advice was given via the forum at any time... no more "now what was that he said again?...."
- A Forum is a perfect example of using the internet for exactly what it is good for - the providing and sharing information openly and cheaply in a way that all participants can contribute and benefit - all successful and profitable online businesses do not offer phone support at all.... just try and find a phone number for Google, the largest and most successful business in the world today!
Advice regarding posting to the Forum
Before referring to the forum or submitting a support request, be sure you have done the following: 1. Check the bottom left hand corner of any page in the sitebuilder where it is you may be having trouble as there is context sensitive help always showing there relevant to anything you are currently doing. 2. There is also a comprehensive range of video tutorials and help files accessible from the first page that displays when entering the sitebuilder from the links across the top. 3. Do a search of the forum for keywords relevant to what problem you are having (eg: if it's to do with uploading an image, try "image upload" or simply "image"). You will more than likely find posts that will give you the answers that you need. 4. If you can't find anything that solves your problem, then please submit a post to the forum (you'll need to register first). Make sure you place the posting in the right category that relates to the issue, and if there is a posting that is close to, or similar to your problem you are having, then submit your problem in that same thread. We'll respond to you very quickly - just as quick as if you emailed. The very first thing to do is to register. For security purposes we do not integrate the forum in to our sitebuilder system to prevent hackers from obtaining your username and password. So you need to register before you can post to any topic or create a new one You will not see the MAKE A NEW TOPIC or the REPLY TO THIS TOPIC tabs if you are not logged in Please use the email address you either used when creating your site, or 'something@yourwebsitewithus' so that we can identify who you are to be able to look in to your sitebuilder when you have a specific issue. Do not use the username and password for your site for the same reason we outlined above. click here to go to the forum |
